This is the hardware setup procedure document for your HP Envy Photo 7155 printer. This does not include the procedures in installing the printer’s software or about how to operate this printer. 123.hp.com/envy7155

Getting the 123 HP Envy Photo 7155 Printer Hardware setup

Step 1: Pull out all the tape and cardboard pieces that are stuck to the printer.

Here you will need to remove all the tapes and cardboard parts that are attached to the inside and outside of the printer.

Step 2: Verify all the contents of the package

Look in the package and search for all the parts and units that come in the box and look out for a printed sheet that lists all the included-in-the-box units. The parts included will vary with country/regions.

Step 3: Plugging in the Power Cord

  1. Ensure that you’ve got the power cord connected with the adapter.
  2. Now connect the power adapter to the power adapter port seen at the back of the printer.
  3. Plug in the power cord now into the wall power socket/ power wall outlet/ surge protector.

Step 4: Updating the Language and Country/Region settings

  1. Now remove the printer screen protector from the display panel of the printer.
  2. Hold down on the Power ON button to switch on your printer.
  3. When you notice the Select Language display option open up in the display screen, then press the Down & Up arrow buttons to move/scroll down the setting options and to help look up all the languages and selecting the desired language when it is highlighted.
  4. Press down on the OK button when the desired language is highlighted.
  5. Press the Up & Down arrow buttons to scroll through the various countries/regions until the desired country/region is highlighted.
  6. Press down on the OK button when the desired country/region is highlighted to select that country/region.

Step 6: Loading paper into the Photo tray

  1. Pull upwards the output tray and pull outwards the photo tray.
  2. Hold and adjust the paper width and paper length adjusters to their outermost limits.
  3. Now load 20 sheets of paper with the side that needs to be printed facing down. Check if the papers that are loaded are sitting loosely inside the tab on the paper length guide.
  4. Hold on the paper length and paper width adjusters and move them inwards till they touch the edge sides of the paper stack.
  5. Now push back into place the Photo tray.
  6. Close the Output tray.

Step 5: Loading up paper in the main paper tray

  1. Hold and pull out the paper tray extender towards you to extend the paper tray.
  2. Hold and adjust the paper width and paper length adjusters to their outermost limits.
  3. Now load 20 sheets of paper with the side that needs to be printed facing down. Check if the papers that are loaded are sitting loosely inside the tab on the paper length guide.
  4. Hold on the paper length and paper width adjusters and move them inwards till they touch the edge sides of the paper stack.
  5. Now push inwards the paper tray.

Step 7: Installing the 123 HP Envy Photo 7155 printer cartridges

  1. Check and verify thoroughly if the printer is powered on.
  2. Pull up the top lid enclosing.
  3. Squeeze the grey colored part located right under the print cartridge slot to release the grey latch and then pull up the latch.
  4. Open the packaging of the new printer cartridge.
  5. Gently hold the cartridge by the handle and then slide the print cartridge into the printer’s empty slot.
  6. Press down into the grey colored latch until it clicks into place.
  7. Repeat step 3 till 6 for each of the other printer cartridges.
  8. Now close the printer top lid covering.
  9. Press OK to start the printer head alignment.

Step 8: Installing the HP Envy Photo 7155 Printer Software

  1. Insert the printer CD into the CD-ROM drive of your computer. You will notice that the CD initiates a software installation process automatically.

If the starting screen for the installation process doesn’t open up automatically, then you will need to go by the steps mentioned below to help start the installation manually:

  1. Select the Start
  2. Select the Run. The Run dialog box opens up.
  3. In the Open: text box, type D:\setup.exe, where D is the assigned letter name of your computer’s CD-ROM drive, and then select OK button.

HP Envy Photo 7155 – Setting up the USB Printer (Windows)

This is a setup document to help in setting up your 123 HP Envy Photo 7155 printer with a USB connection to your Windows computer. To get the complete functional capabilities of your USB connected printer, you will need to install the full feature 123 HP Envy Photo 7155 driver.

Step 1: Preparing for the HP Envy Photo 7155 Printer Setup

Check out the requirements and remove any previously installed printer software of Windows version that you might have installed in your Windows computer to help prepare for the USB connection installation process.

  1. Verify and ensure that these requirements below are met before starting the USB installation process.
    • The printer is powered on and is in the read-to-print state.
    • A USB cable less than 3 meters in length.
    • Ensure that your computer has a USB connection port: If you do use a USB Hub or Docking station, then you might not have enough power to the printer to properly operate.

  4. Now close out the Devices and Printers window, and then move onto the next step.

Step 2: Setting up the connection & Installing the HP Envy Photo 7155 Printer driver

You will need to download and install the latest available printer driver to help complete the USB connection installation process.

  1. Visit the 123.hp.com/envy7155 website, and then type in your printer’s model number in the search area as HP Envy Photo 7155, and then follow the onscreen provided instructions in the website to install the printer’s driver. Based on your printer model, you will have the guided driver installation app HP Easy Start might be installed to get the printer driver downloaded.
    • In cases, where the HP Easy Start gets downloaded, then you will need to go by and do as per the instructions to open the download file to start the setup.   2. Now you will see under the tab named 123.hp.com/envy7155 Driver-Product Installation Software, you will need to select the Download option next to the full feature driver, and then you will need to follow the instructions displayed for the process to use the guided HP Download and Install Assistant and select Download only to download the file and then run the driver file on your computer.
  3. If you’re faced with a prompt page asking to select USB , continue with yes and complete the HP Envy Photo 7155 wireless setup.
  4. Now you can give a test run of printing, scanning, or faxing, based on the functionalities of your Printer.
